A young man reacted to an attempted robbery and went into a body fight with an armed criminal, on the morning of Monday (23), at Baptist Campos Square, in Belém. All the action was recorded by a resident and shared on social networks. See the scenes below:
In the images, you can see the moment when the young man comes into direct confrontation with the robber, even in the face of the threat of a firearm.
The suspect held a 38 -caliber revolver and even pointed to the weaponry for others who tried to help. The victim, who asks for help in the video, manages to immobilize the man with the help of the population.
“He also threatened me, saying, ‘Whoever records my face will take shot.’ Even so, I urgently called a military police garrison and, when they saw me recording, there was a great riot in the square,” said Júlio Leandro, a resident who recorded the scene.
The tension was such that, according to witnesses, the criminal was surrounded and assaulted by popular before the arrival of the Belém Municipal Guard (GMB), which held the arrest.
In a statement, the city of Belém reported that GMB teams, with the support of the Ronda Ostensive Municipal Group (Rumo), arrested the 20 -year -old man, accused of qualified theft. With it were found 4 cell phones and a 38 caliber revolver with four ammunition.
The robber was taken for medical attention and then sent to the Trade Police Station, where he remains in custody available to the court.
Already the young man reported, still in post made after the incident, that decided to react because the cell phone that would be stolen was the only one he had, and he depended on the device to work and study.
