The Government’s Secretariat of Institutional Relations (PT) said, by note, that the pace of execution of parliamentary amendments is being faster in 2025, compared to the last two years.
This year, LOA (annual budget law) was voted and approved on March 20, and sanctioned on April 10, rather than voted in December of the previous year, as happened in past years.
“Even with the difference in the dates of sanction and the validity of Complementary Law 210/2024, the rhythm of the execution of amendments is being faster in 2025, compared to the last two years – 2023 and 2024,” says the text.
According to the Secretariat, both LOA’s approval and sanction dates and the new legislation focused on the beginning of the parliamentary amendments execution process, which would “inadequate” the comparison between the volume of amendments committed from January to June 2025 with an equal period of 2023 and 2024.
“To be accurate, the comparison must be made between equal periods, ie between the sanction date and the data available in the 50 business days after yesterday (23/06),” he says.
