Former Army commander, General Marco Antonio Freire Gomes, said on Tuesday (24), during a Federal Supreme Court (STF), that former Justice Minister Anderson Torres did not attend any ministerial meeting after the defeat of Jair Bolsonaro (PL) in the 2022 elections.
In previous statements, the general had stated that Torres participated in “one or two meetings” with the then president and the military commanders to discuss exceptional measures.
However, at the hearing conducted by Minister Alexandre de Moraes, Freire Gomes clarified that Torres participated in other government meetings on previous dates, in which several topics were debated – including the possibility of decreeing a guarantee of the Law and Order (GLO).

Acareration was requested by Torres
The caressing session was requested by the defense of Anderson Torres, who claimed to have “relevant contradictions” in the reports previously provided by Freire Gomes.
The main point questioned was precisely the eventual presence of the former minister in meetings with Bolsonaro and the military in the days following the electoral defeat.
The caress is provided for in the Code of Criminal Procedure to clarify differences between testimonials of investigated or witnesses.
