Russia, which condemned US strikes as illegal, is waiting for reliable data and maintains contact with Iran.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Wednesday that he is still too early for anyone to be able to create an accurate picture of the extent of damage in Iranian nuclear facilities after a weekend American bombing. This is reported by TASR based on Reuters report.
“I don’t think anyone can have realistic data at the moment. It is probably too early. We have to wait for such data to appear,” Peskov said. He responded to US President Donald Trump’s statements, according to which the facilities are “completely destroyed” after weekend attacks.
Trump’s statements questioned
Trump opposed Tuesday’s reports of some American media, which wrote that the bombing of Uranus Fordó enriched facilities only damaged the entrances to the complex instead of the entire device. This is situated deep below the earth’s surface.
Russia condemned US strokes to Iran as illegal, unfounded and non -provocated. Moscow and Tehran signed a strategic partnership agreement in January.
Russia follows the situation
Peskov added that the Kremlin believes that there are open communication channels between Washington and Tehran. He added that Russia is closely monitoring the development of the situation and is also in regular contact with Iran.
