Dorada is called “royal fish”because in ancient Greece she was considered to be dedicated to Aphrodite. In ancient Rome, in turn, it was a favorite sea delicacy. Currently, it has been somewhat forgotten, which is a pity, because it impresses with its taste and health properties.

The advice is valued for delicate and juicy meat. If we prepare it in a baked version, it retains its natural juices and then it is tasty and aromatic.

It’s a healthy fish because it contains vitamins: B6, B12 and D, as well as minerals, iron, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, calcium and selenium. In addition, it has a high content of unsaturated Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids.

Antioxidants contained in this fish inhibit the effects of free radicals, preventing Parkinson or Alzhaimer’s disease. In addition, they slow down the development of cancer cells.

It is recommended to consume people suffering from cardiovascular disease, such as atherosclerosis, hypertension or heart attack. In addition, it improves concentration, memory and attention in the elderly, so it’s worth it to be in their menu.

Ingredients:

  • 2 dorady;
  • 2 lemons;
  • 1 small, red onion;
  • 12 cloves of garlic;
  • 2 branches of rosemary;
  • 4 tablespoons of extra virgin oil;
  • 3 tablespoons of dried oregano;
  • 2 teaspoons of dried thyme;
  • 2 teaspoons of dill;
  • 2 teaspoons of sea salt;
  • 1 teaspoon of pepper.

Preparation:

At the beginning, wash the disadvantages thoroughly and then dry them with a paper towel. Then mix with you in a bowl oregano, thyme, dill, pepper and finely chopped, red onion.

Fish abdominal hole sprinkle 1/4 of the resulting mixture and hope with a branch of rosemary, six peeled garlic cloves and two lemon boats. Do the same with the second advice.

In the next step, squeeze the edges of the fish and join them with toothpicks. Thanks to this, you will prevent the ingredients from falling out.

Rub both with two tablespoons of olive oil. Sprinkle them on each side with the remaining mix of spices.

Move the fish to the oven tray, previously lined with baking paper. On the sides of the advice, make 3 incisions and put in each of them a slice of lemon. After one slice, also put on the tails to avoid burning them.

Finally, sprinkle the fish with sea salt and put the tray in the oven preheated to 220 degrees Celsius. Bake the dish for 25 minutes.

I like to eat a Mediterranean advice the most with baked potatoes. I decorate the plate with several lemon boats and I give it to guests.

It also goes well with potatoes, sweet potatoes, rice or fries. To this you can add a light salad or steamed vegetables.
