The oceans cover more than 70 percent of the surface of the earth and mount a huge energy potential. The wave force alone is estimated at around 30,000 terawatt hours annually – significantly more than the current global electricity requirement of around 25,000 terawatt hours. Even from temperature differences between warm surface water and cooler deep sea, theoretically could be gained electricity using oceanicism.
