Following the resignation of Cesário Braga to the presidency of the PT State Directory in Acre, the party should define later this Thursday (26) the name that will dispute the command of the subtitle. Braga will leave the post to devote to the pre-candidacy to state deputy in the 2026 elections.
In an interview with ContilNetCouncilman André Kamai (PT) confirmed that a meeting is scheduled for today to define the new composition of the plate. Despite speculation about his name, he denies that he is a candidate.

“Yesterday Cesário gave up, presented a letter, as all people had access, and now, today we will discuss this question of who will replace him. So there is no decision of who will be the candidate, but by the end of the day we will decide this and present to the press,” said Kamai.
Behind the scenes, the name of the councilman is appointed as a favorite to assume the state presidency of the party. Even so, he reaffirms that the choice will be made collectively between the acronym internal currents.

“I am not a candidate, we will discuss this towards the PT, among the party’s internal forces, and present until the end of the day,” he added.
The election for the new presidency of the Acrean PT is scheduled for July 6. Until then, the party intends to officially announce the new plate that will be subjected to the vote.
