The (Legislative Assembly of) approved a project of the (São Paulo Court of Justice) which creates 1,120 positions and 80 new courts in the court.
Of the new courts, 50 will be of final entrance (counties of large urban centers with more than 100,000 voters, such as the capital) and 30 from intermediate entrance (counties with more than 50,000 voters).
The project provides for the creation of positions for 80 judges and 80 bailiffs, distributed proportionally between the entities.
The proposal had been filed in August 2024 and was stopped at the CCJR (Constitution, Justice and Writing Commission). The urgency was approved on Tuesday (24), voted by the commissions on Wednesday (25) and taken to the plenary hours later, where it was approved.
Commissioned positions range from almost $ 9,000 to over $ 15,000. A Judicial Section Head receives R $ 8,745.98, while a service supervisor receives R $ 14,328.01 and a coordinator earns R $ 15,661.37.
Another 720 positions will be effective – which are the candidates. These positions will be intended for technical scribes, which have salaries from R $ 5,810.17.

- 160 New Judicial Section Heads: R $ 1.4 million;
- 50 new coordinator positions: R $ 783,068;
- 30 new service supervisor positions: R $ 429,840.
According to President Fernando Torres Garcia, the proposal “aims to adapt the court’s staff to the new reality, resulting in improvements in services and service to the population.”
