Bake asparagus in the oven. The secret of their taste is the cheese fence

It is also worth adding that asparagus is extremely healthy. They contain little calories, at the same time they are a source of fiber, antioxidants, vitamin A, those from group B, C, E, K, and minerals such as iron or copper. Therefore, these vegetables will be a great complement to the summer menu.

To prepare this recipe, you will need:

  • 1 bunch of green asparagus.
  • 50-100 g of Parmesan cheese (as desired).
  • 2 cloves of garlic.
  • 1 teaspoon thyme.
  • 50 g of butter.
  • 6 tablespoons of salt.
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar.

You can serve ready asparagus to your favorite dinner, for example meat, fish and potatoes. They can also be great snack for a partyyou can serve them solo or prepare a herb and yogurt dip.

Heat the oven to 200 ° C. Grate Parmesan cheese on medium grater. Mix with thyme.

Cut off the woody tips from the asparagus. For a tall pot (the best will be a special pot for asparagus and spaghetti equipped with a strainer, but you can use ordinary) pour in enough water to immerse almost entirely (except the heads) during cooking asparagus.

Boil water with salt, sugar and a spoonful of butter. When it contains, put in a pot of asparagus. Cook for about 4-5 minutes (older, thicker asparagus, cook a moment longer). Strain.

Melt the rest of the butter in a saucepan. Add to it squeezed through a press or finely chopped garlic. Heat for a moment, making the garlic not burn.

Place the asparagus on a baking tray lined with aluminum foil. Pour them with garlic butter. Sprinkle evenly with Parmesan cheese.

Put the baking tray into a preheated oven. Bake for 7-8 minutes.
