At the age of 81, an American singer, actor and former idol of Bobby Sherman teenagers died. His death was informed by Brigitte Pomblon through a statement on social networks. According to her, Sherman died calmly, holding her hand, he says.

“He was my prince on a white horse,” said Pomblon, who survived 29 years of marriage with him. Earlier this year, the singer published that he was suffering from cancer at the 4th stage. Sherman became famous in the 60th and 1970s with hits such as Little Woman, Julie, to Ya Love Me, Easy Come, Easy Go and La La La la la la (if I Had You).

He was a regular face of youth magazines such as Tiger Beat and Sixteen, his portrait adorned breakfast cereals and posters in children’s rooms. In 2005, he ranked 8th in the TV Guide ranking “the 25 biggest TV idols of teenagers”. He started her acting career in the music show Shindig !, Later he performed in the series Here Come The Brides and Getting Together. In addition to television, he also appeared in films such as Wild in the Streets and He Is My Brother.

After the end of his career in show business, he turned to help others in the 1980s – he became a certified rescuer and first aid instructor for the Los Angeles police. As a volunteer, he taught new police and CPR basics, donating his entire salary. He also worked as a backup sheriff in the California district of San Bernardino. During the service, he helped give birth to five children in emergencies outside the hospital.

He has won several awards for his work in the emergency services, Including the title Reserve Officer of the Year LAPD (1999) and the significant FBI award for exceptional service. In 2004 he also paid tribute to the American Congress. In the 1990s he returned to the stage of the Teen Idols Tour, where he performed alongside Mickey Dolenz and Davy Jones of The Monkees and Peter Noone of Herman’s Hermits.

Together with his wife, Brigitte and Bobby Sherman Children’s Foundation, which operates in Ghana and supports the education, health and social care of children. Bobby Sherman left behind his wife Brigitte, two sons of Christopher and Tyler and a generation of fans who will remember him not only as a singer, but also as a man with a big heart.
