Not only over many countries, but also over the Mediterranean an exceptional heat wave is currently rolling. This is shown by current data from the European climate converter Copernicus. As a visualization of the Copernicus Marine Service shows, the western Mediterranean is particularly warmer than normally during this time. Large parts of the map based on satellite data from June 22, 2025 are colored deep red.
