Mother and son are hit by a motorcyclist when crossing pedestrian range in Rio Branco

A 31-year-old woman and her 6-year-old son were run over on Wednesday night while crossing the pedestrian strip at Valdomiro Lopes Street, in the Peace neighborhood of Rio Branco.

The victims, Diane Braga de Brito and her son, were hit by a red Honda CG 160 Fan motorcycle and QNW-8D68 license plate driven by Eric Sanches Espíndola Pinho, 23. The motorcyclist was driving towards the neighborhood-center and, according to witnesses, disrespected the traffic signs by passing the side of a spring breaking at high speed, without reducing.

With the impact, Diane was thrown to the floor and suffered abrasions in various parts of the body, as well as a possible fracture in the left leg tibia. The child had trauma on his face, arm and neck. The motorcycle driver also presented abrasions.

The Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU) complied with the occurrence with basic and advanced support vehicles. Mother, son and motorcyclist were sent to the Rio Branco Emergency Room, all in a stable health.

The Military Police, through the Traffic Battalion, was at the scene, isolated the area to perform the expert and recorded the occurrence. After the procedures, the motorcycle was removed by family members of the driver.
