Nestlé will remove certified dyes from its food and beverage portfolio in the United States until mid -2026said the company. Certified dyes are synthetic additives regulated by US food and medicine administration (FDA).
According to the company, more than 90% of its current US portfolio does not include synthetic dyes.
This initiative reflects similar plans from other large food companies, at a time when US President Donald Trump’s government promotes the removal of artificial food dyes in the US.
Food manufacturers like Conagra Brands, Kraft Heinz e General Mills They have recently announced plans to remove certified dyes from their products over the coming years.
