A renovated Saragoça in Spain recently lived a situation as unexpectedly as inspiring. On a normal day, he went to the Mercado Supermarket to shop, without imagining that he would eventually star in a true example of honesty.
Arriving at the parking lot, he noticed that someone had dropped a bag. He continued to drive until parking, with the intention of collecting the object later. Already with the bag in his possession, he entered the supermarket in the hope of finding the owner. As he did not see him there, he decided to open the bag looking for some identification. It was then that he came across a huge surprise: inside were 20,000 euros in cash.
Faced with such a discovery, the man confessed to being scared. He even thought that money could belong to the mafia, which made him very nervous. However, without hesitation, he chose to do what he thought was the most correct: he immediately warned the police. While waiting for the authorities’ arrival, he still returned to the parking lot, hopeful to rediscover the person who had left the bag behind.
Thanks to his effort and integrity, the real owner of the money was found. The reunion was marked by a moment of great emotion, culminating in a strong hug between the two men, visibly moved.
The story, told by the Cope newspaper, had a happy ending and quickly spread on social networks, where many applauded the renovated gesture. For many, the episode represents a valuable lesson of empathy, kindness and honesty, values that, although sometimes seemed forgotten, remain very alive in the hearts of some people.
