Will it be easier for a sanatorium with a referral? Changes in the rules from July 1

The changes are to facilitate and improve the work of doctors. Therefore, the simplified pattern will contain three elements, necessary to fill:

• indications for treatment in the sanatorium,
• contraindications for treatment in the sanatorium,
• significant deviations from the norm.

Information such as weight, height or blood pressure will be removed from the referral formula. Failure to take into account these parameters is to reduce bureaucracy, so the referrals can be filled faster and more accurately.

However, this is not the only change that will be introduced on July 1, 2025. Until now, a very small group of specialists could approve. This was done by balneologists and specialists in physical medicine. At the beginning of July, other doctors will also be able to obtain these powers. After completing the course under the basics of balneology, this will be able to have the possibility of doctors involved in internal diseases, rheumatological diseases, as well as orthopedist and family medicine doctors.
