An American climber dies in a pool of the Pyrenees of Huesca | Spain

Specialists from the Civil Guard have rescued on Thursday the body of a 48 -year -old American climber who died in a pool usually used for bathrooms in the Pyrenean municipal term of Salinas de Bielsa, in Huesca.

As reported by the Firefighters of the Diputación de Huesca, the alert voice was given about 2:00 p.m. on Thursday by the deceased’s own colleagues, of the same nationality, through a phone call made to the emergency telephone number of 112.

At the place of the event, a pond located under the Cinca bridge located on the A-138 road connection with the Chistau Vall, have moved troops from the rescue groups of the Civil Guard of Boltaña to proceed with the rescue of the body, which was submerged.

The sources consulted have not specified whether death occurred by drowning or by wounds caused by a blow against the rocks.

The victim was part of a group of climbers from the United States that were traveling through mountainous areas throughout Europe and arriving yesterday in the province of Huesca after spending a few days in the French Pyrenees.
