Clandestine cemetery in São Paulo: at least 14 bones are found

At least 14 bones buried were found in a clandestine cemetery discovered by the Metropolitan Civil Guard (GCM) on the afternoon of Thursday (26) near the Buffalos Municipal Park, in the region of Jardim Apurá, in the south of São Paulo.

The information was confirmed by GCM on Friday afternoon (27). The initial number was 12 bones discovered and unearthed, including their skulls.

The two new pits, with a bone in each of them, were found with the aid of dogs. So far, three pits have passed the expertise, which carries out work on site.

According to the security agency, after agents perform preventive and ostentatious patrolling focused on environmental crimes, when the team was approached by a resident of the region. The resident reported the possible existence of a clandestine cemetery in the immediate vicinity.

The agents went to the indicated place and found the presence of several pits with seemingly human bones. There was support from residents, who ceded paddles and hoes. In videos obtained by CNNyou can see the moment when the guards open the pits.

Sought, the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP) stated that “investigations were sent to the State Department of Homicides and Protection of Persons (DHPP). This Friday (27), teams of the police unit, with support from the Fire Department carried out steps on site for the progress of expert work, with the help of IML anthropology.”
