Global Fake News Platform is launched – 06/27/2025 – Panel

An international platform to combat misinformation will be launched on Friday (27) with content from 60 organizations from various countries.

The Global Fact-Checking Chatbot has been designed by the International Fact-Check Alliance) and will bring together more than 600,000 checks on various topics. The content will be distributed in 31 different languages ​​and includes organizations from 59 countries.

The platform’s creators understand that the circulation of false information and manipulated discourses have increased worldwide, and amid sanitary crises, as was the case with the Covid-19 pandemic.

The CoronavirusFacts Alliance initiative to combat the pandemic around the world and was one of the inspirations for the new platform, according to spokesman Cristina Tarduila, founder of Lupa agency.

“We can say that we are moving forward in what we did during the pandemic. It is the most technological version of the Coronavirus Facts alliance, which led the checkers to be nominated to the Nobel 2021,” said Tardáguila.

Lupa is the only Brazilian agency to be on the international platform.
