The Public Prosecution Service of Paraná (MP-PR) denounced five men suspected for the death of Bruna Zucco Segantin, a 21-year-old Miss Altônia (PR) and Valdir de Brito Feitosa, 30. The murder took place on March 22, 2018 on a rural road in the municipality of Altonia, in the northwest of the state.
So far, four men have been arrested. The capture took place on June 7, 2025, in Palmas, seven years after the double homicide. A fifth investigated, appointed as an intermediary, is on the run.
Individuals are accused of double qualified murder and corpse destruction. According to the MP, the motivation of the crime would have been disagreements between two criminal groups. Valdir was allegedly a smugglers and, the mastermind of the murder, would be part of a rival criminal group focused on drug trafficking.
However, the murdered young woman had no involvement with the crime. Thus, Bruna was executed for being in the company of the man and, not to be able to witness against the murders. After the crime, both bodies were charred.
Arrest of suspects
One of the Men arrested for the death of BrunaHe tattooed his face in the flames of a woman – an image that, according to the Paraná Civil Police (PCPR), alludes to the victim, found charred.
The arrest took place on June 7, in Palmas, in the southern region of Paraná, seven years after the double homicide. In addition to him, three other men, aged 26 to 44, were detained preventively for qualified homicide and destruction of the corpse. A fifth investigated is on the run.
