Senator Alexandre Giordano (-SP) followed the president’s visit (PT) at the Moinho favela on Thursday afternoon (26), one day after his party helps in the House of Representatives, imposing another defeat on the federal government in Congress.
To the panel, Giordano said there is no embarrassment to participate in Lula government actions, as he supports the president to the point of wanting his reelection in 2026. Asked how the support for the petista is seen at the MDB, he said he is apolitical and recalled that he took the chair in the Senator Major Olímpio, killed in March 2021.
“It’s just that I’m a little apolitical, right? I got in the place of Olímpio, so my business is apolitical. I like the things they solve,” he said while walking at the favela in downtown Sao Paulo.
The senator said he had nothing to do with the overthrow of the IOF decrees and added to have friendship with the federal deputy (-SP), also present at the event. Last year, Giordano supported Boulos’ candidacy to the city hall, even with the mayor being affiliated to the MDB.
Another picture of the MDB, the minister (cities). It was he who released, this afternoon, a decree to define the families eligible to the housing units that will be paid by the federal and state governments to residents of Favela do Moinho.
