The old carpet no longer decorates your living room, but that doesn’t mean that it has rang it. You can give him a new life and a new sense. At home, in the garden, but also in the car.
Old carpet does not have to be waste! It can become a stylish accessory. For example, you can handle the old taburet with a carpet without much upholstery art and the result will be original and functional. Similarly, you can make the carpet unique upholstery on the forehead or even a chair cover, especially if the carpet has an interesting pattern. Those who have a sense of detail can assemble a mosaic of several cuts and create a design tread into the hallway.

How to use the old carpet
There is also purely practical use. You can cut the carpet and create a set of pads: in the trunk of the car, under the pets of pets, or as a protective layer in the workshop under the desk. It also proves great as a pad under the knees for gardening or painting. It is soft, well insulated, and when it dirty, you may not be sorry at all.
And then there is charity. Many animal shelters welcome old carpets like lining in pens. In winter they help keep warm and are more comfortable for animals than bare concrete. Similarly, it will serve at home. For example, in a dog for a dog, under a scraper for a cat or even under the bed. And if you have a cat at home, use the old carpet as the surface of a new scratcher. You will save your new carpet, chair and wallet.
And if that is not enough
Sometimes the old carpet simply cannot serve because it is too worn or polluted. Even in this case, however, it is not necessary to throw it in the container. It can be used as a temporary frost -resistant blanket for the windshield of the car. Just throw it through the glass in the evening and you won’t have to scratch the ice in the morning. Similarly, it will help as a helper to rescue the car from snow or mud. Just place it under the slipping wheel.
You can also use carpet residues outside as a base under the garden pond or as a shed carpet that protects the tools from impacts. If you have children, you can make it homemade floor puzzle. All you need is scissors and a little color. And who has enough space can hang the decorative carpet on the wall, just as people did in the Middle Ages. The carpet thus serves not only as decoration but also as insulation.
If you do not choose from these options, try to offer the carpet. Maybe someone around you is just suited: for a cottage, a garage, or for an animal. And if it doesn’t work, ask if your municipality offers the possibility of carpet recycling. In some collection yards, it is already a common practice.
So the old carpet certainly does not belong automatically in the landfill. Whether you use it at home, in the garden, or serve someone else, give him a second chance and save nature and your own pocket. At a time when sustainability is increasingly important, even a small change in approach, perhaps just for a worn carpet, counts. Instead of becoming waste, it can be useful again. Just a little creativity and willingness to think differently.
