He has left in defense of his two teachers indicated by, after a confrontation during an event at the educational center last Wednesday in which the summers of the town presented themselves. Representatives of all political parties had come to the event. Ortega Smith was attending to the media in a hall of the institute, criticizing the “beach bars” before the journalists. Before his words, two professors increasing the political head of the Ultra -Right party. “What are you coming here? Scoundrel. Clown,” they told him. The discussion ended with Ortega Smith asking for explanations, in front of all the cameras, the director of Centro, Rafael Martín. Martín stoically endured the councilor’s complaints, who said goodbye as follows: “Because I have political status and because I have authority. If this catches me in my private life, some will sing to a bell tower.”

“We consider denigrating and intimidating the statements expressed by the mayor against the LGTBIQ+community, which took advantage of a cultural institutional act to disseminate a hate discourse and promote violence within a public educational center,” says the statement of the IES San Isidro. The point is that harassment did not end once Ortega Smith left the institute. Two hours later, a man who does not link to the center appeared in the facilities, in front of the doors of the offices of the management team. At that time, one of the two professors with whom Ortega Smith had faced, asked the stranger if he could help him or if he was looking for someone. There were two other families present. A few minutes later, the man returned to the teacher. “I look for you. Son of a bitch. Maricón,” he said. According to teacher A statements, both engaged in a new discussion in which they almost reached the hands. For the teacher, this person was “a vox thug.” The situation became so tense that Rafael Martín, the director, had to intervene again to urge the subject to leave, who did it ensuring that he would wait outside the teacher to give him “a beating” and that he was going to “kill.” “The pity is that he could not identify,” a spokesman for the center tells El País. “Our institute is a reception center for everyone who comes. We are open to all people. There is no room for hate,” he adds.

Given this situation, the threatened teacher instantly denounced what happened before the National Police. When the agents appeared, the protagonist of the incident “had already disappeared.” That same afternoon, the professor registered a complaint at the police station. The IES San Isidro has decided not to offer statements “not to hinder the judicialized process.” What they have wanted has been to claim their long career in the defense of the rights of the entire LGTBIQ+community.

This has not been the only event in which Vox has pointed out and defamed to the collective. The week was loaded with controversy after the councilor of the Ultra -Right Party at the Madrid City Council, Carla Toscano, pronounced Tuesday from the Plenary Tribune of Cibeles a speech in which she asked for the withdrawal of all municipal services oriented to the collective. “You have to eradicate these policies that are harmful because this ideology confuses and destroys people and sexually corrupts children until they no longer know who or what they are.” “The LGTBI flag represents an ideology that promotes an absolutely destructive conception of the person, and represents totalitarianism. It is the flag of indoctrination, corruption of minors, privileges and inequality,” he added. Toscano’s words were rejected and denounced by all political parties, with the exception of Vox, who fervently backed it with Javier Ortega Smith to the head.
