Lando Norris maintained the good performance of the Anterior session and also led the third free training for the Formula 1 Austria Grand Prix, held on Saturday (28) at the Spielberg circuit.

The McLaren Briton registered the time of 1min04s888, ensuring the first position, closely followed by teammate Oscar Pastri, consolidating the double of the team. Max Verstappen of Red Bull completed Top 3.

Also noteworthy is the Brazilian Gabriel Bortoleto, who again appeared in the top ten. After a discreet start, taking a few minutes to record his first quick lap, the Sauber rider rose to sixth position in the final minutes of the session. However, it ended up closing in tenth, only 0s050 ahead of teammate Nico Hülkenberg.

Verstappen opened the session with the best brand using hard tires, while Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto, with average compounds, also marked quick laps in the first few minutes. From then on, the times began to fall, with Norris taking the lead with soft tires and expanding their advantage to half a second.

Lewis Hamilton occupied second position by discounting time in his second attempt, but was surpassed by Charles Leclerc shortly thereafter. In the final minutes, Pistri and Verstappen resumed positions at the top of the table, with McLaren confirming their strength. Despite Ferrari’s reaction, which placed Leclerc and Carlos Sainz in the top five, the Italian team ended with almost half a second disadvantage compared to the leader.
