The Federal Deputy (-SP), said on Friday (27) was naive in the case. In an interview with UOL News from UOL, she said the episode taught her to be careful.
“Perhaps there was naivete – the ingenuity of someone who was not acting out of law, who was not committing any kind of crime. When we are not doing anything illegal, or nothing we can embarrass in the future, we act naturally,” he said.
“I was naive by not taking the care necessary to prevent narratives from being built. We are totally calm and doing everything correct. But we need to be careful, because, there, the truth doesn’t matter.”
Deputy Erika Hilton has two makeup artists who also work as her advisers at. Indy Cunha Montiel da Rocha has been in office since November last year, with a salary of $ 2,126.59, according to the House website. UOL the congressman said she met the two professionals in the makeup universe, but decided to hire them to the cabinet after identifying specific talents.
“They are LGBT people, of my trust. Sporadically, the two did, yes, outside our combination of work, makeup in me. They are excellent makeup artists, but they are excellent professionals, including one of them is formed in architecture and urbanism. They are both very important in building some public policies that we have already turned into laws,” he said.
“These are professionals I have known in the beauty environment, in the makeup universe, but they are my friends and I brought them to my office to help in the various political constructions. They are not hired, they are not workers to make makeup. Quite the contrary. They are part of the hard core of my mandate, with clear assignments, with work that can be proven,” he said.
“Nothing has been done in hiding, nothing under the cloth. Nothing done in a wrong or criminal way, all clear.”
She also criticized how the case came to light and the repercussion given by the press.
“I don’t understand how a tweet of any person can even support news from press sectors. Even a tweet of a person we have proof that it flirted with one of my advisors was not corresponded and was allowed to create this claim that I had hired these advisers exclusively to make makeup on me.”
Erika Hilton: ‘Brazil needs qualified deputies’
At UOL News, Erika also criticized-approved, last Wednesday (25), the bill that increases from 513 to 531 the number of federal deputies in Brazil.
“There is a mistake in the secret budget, there is an error in hiring, there is a number of errors in politics that we report and fight every day, including the increase in chair for deputies. Brazil no longer needs deputies. Brazil needs qualified deputies,” he said.
Erika Hilton was elected federal deputy in 2022 by PSOL in São Paulo. Before that, by 2020, she had already been elected councilwoman, being the first transgender woman to occupy a chair in the São Paulo City Council.
