The help of mountain rescuers was needed on Saturday in Pieniny wheelchair, who fell on the cycle route leading along the breakthrough Dunajec. The Mountain Rescue Service (HZS) reported that a 44-year-old man had failed a wheelchair brake in the area under Sokolica.
The man, due to the failure of the brake, fell through the cliff about six meters high. “As a result of the fall, he caused an injury to the facial part, and he was also suspected of a head injury,” she said HZS.
The wheelchair to the aid was set off by mountain rescuers serving in Pieniny. Upon arrival at the place of the man, they rescued the harder available terrain, examined, treated and then transported it to the Red monastery. There he was handed over to the summoned crew of rapid medical assistance.
