The mayor of Palmas (TO), Eduardo Siqueira Campos (Somos), lawyer Antonio Ianowich Filho and civil police officer Marco Augusto Velasco Nascimento Albernaz were arrested. In addition, three searches and seizures were performed, as well as the application of various precautionary measures.
The measures were authorized by Minister Cristiano Zanin of (Supreme Federal Court).
The defense of the mayor of Palmas said it is awaiting official information to speak up.
According to police, the objective is to deepen investigations into the existence of a criminal organization responsible for the systematic leakage of confidential information, arising from ongoing investigations in the STJ, with direct impact on Federal Police operations.
According to a statement issued by the PF, “the investigation revealed evidence that confidential information would be being accessed in advance, articulated and passed on to investigated, with the involvement of public agents, lawyers and external operators.”
The Federal Police also said that the group is suspected of using these sensitive data to protect allies, thwart police actions and build influence networks.
According to the Supreme Court, the decision also authorizes the removal of the civil service, the ban on maintaining contact between them and the prohibition of leaving the country.
In May, the operation was focused on Diego Cavalcante, suspected of being a financial operator of the judicial decision sales scheme through.

According to the PF, the targets of this action are investigated because they performed serious acts of obstruction of justice to embarrass the execution of the judicial measures of the fifth phase of the operation, launched in the same week.
In May, the mayor denied having committed irregularities and said he did not maintain “privileged sources in courts or any other instance of the judiciary.”
In November 2024, the PF served, in the same operation, 23 search warrants and an arrest against lawyers, lobbyists, businessmen, advisers, chiefs of cabinet and magistrates suspected of involvement in the sale of court decisions.
At the time, search measures of the Court of Justice of Mato Grosso were the judges of the Court of Justice, the heads of STJ Ministers Isabel Gallotti and Og Fernandes (Daimler Alberto de Campos and Rodrigo Falcão de Oliveira Andrade, respectively) and the advisor Márcio José Toledo Pinto, who worked in the offices of several ministers.
