City Hall will rename points from Praia do Sossego in honor of the young woman who died in an accident in Indonesia
The City Hall of Niterói (RJ), in the Metropolitan Region of Rio, will name the young Juliana Marins, 26, who was a resident of the city, the lookout and the trail of Praia do Sossego, in Camboinhas. According to the city, the change of name is a tribute to memory and affinity it had by the place.

The mayor (PDT) received on Thursday (26.jun.2025) the family and friends of the young. The sister of Juliana, Mariana Marins, thanked the symbolic gesture of the tribute.
“Praia do Sossego was one of my sister’s favorite places. It was she who introduced me to that paradise and we lived special moments there, along with friends. Amid so much pain and so much false news that has circulated in recent days, finding the support of Niterói City and the mayor, who believed in our word from the beginning, was fundamental,” declared Mariana.
Juliana’s mother also expressed gratitude for the act. The mayor said that the tribute in the lookout and trail of Praia do Sossego will be a way to eternalize Juliana’s legacy.
