The Civil Police arrested on Saturday (28) a gang specializing in theft to luxury homes in Niterói, in the metropolitan region of Rio de Janeiro.
After a long monitoring period, agents of the 72nd DP (São Gonçalo) arrested in the act of Phelipe de Lima Nascimento, Gustavo Pereira Rodrigues and Caio Marcos Nunes Leite. They were intercepted in the neighborhood of Charitas, Niterói, when they tried to escape to the communities of origin.
According to police, the three are part of the Red Command criminal faction and are known to act violently against the victims.
With the suspects, a pistol, ninja caps, gloves, money and a fake civil police shirt used by one of the criminals were seized to simulate an official action.
According to investigations, coordinated by delegate Fábio Souza, the victims were chosen through social networking posts and monitored with the aid of location applications.
During the robberies, residents were surrendered inside the high -standard houses, and had jewelry, electronics and money taken by the criminals.
Prisoners will be responsible for criminal association, qualified theft and other crimes.
