Prime Minister Robert Fico (Smer-SD) considers the approval of the state budget for next year as a priority. Can’t imagine that The country went to a budget makeshift. However, he excluded the linking of the budget vote in the National Council (NR) of the Slovak Republic with a vote on the pronouncement of confidence in the government. This stems from his statement in the program of Slovak Radio Saturday dialogues.

“In no case will we increase the arms expenses. We must find 76, 77 votes for budget approval. If colleagues from voice-SD and CIS want to continue the government, they will have to agree. If we do not agree, I cannot imagine we will go to the budget makeshift, ” noted.

At the same time, the Prime Minister declared that Slovakia will not increase arms expenses next year. It assumes that this will be the case in 2027. He also declared that Slovakia fulfills the capabilities that the North Atlantic Alliance (NATO) expects from it. He intends that a possible increase in resources in the defense sector must go to civilian projects.
