A video sent by the governor (Republicans) to the State Conference of São Paulo cities was booed by the public on Friday (27).
“Ih, Outside” and “Outside, Tarcisio” were some of the screams echoed by the event participants, many of them members of social movements. Part protested against the Moinho favela, in the center of the state capital, in which residents clashed with the police.
In another part of the place, there was also applause to the governor, according to people present.
This Friday’s event, held at the Latin America Memorial, in São Paulo, is organized by the State Department of Urban Development and Housing and focused to discuss housing, mobility, sanitation and transportation issues. Movements such as MSTC (Homeless Movement) and CUT even have representatives at the debate tables.
Absent as he fulfills schedules in the countryside, Tarcisio recorded a message wishing to work for participants.
On the afternoon of this Thursday, the governor took a hurry to Lagoinha, more than 200 km from the capital, to in Favela do Moinho itself. The petista was on site to the state government to relocate families still living in the favela.
