Admittedly, whether Hatshepsut was the first or second pharaohone is a question with a certain scope for interpretation. But her story is extraordinary and has features of a family drama: after the early death of her husband and half -brother, the Pharaoh Thutmosis II, she became a rain. It was only with some delay that she declared herself as a pharaonin, as to which she could be mapped in statues with male characteristics.
