A woman was arrested in the act for racial injury on Friday afternoon (27) at BRT Boiúna station, located in the Taquara neighborhood, west of Rio de Janeiro. The action was carried out by agents of the BRT Seguro Program, linked to the Municipal Secretariat of Public Order (SEOP).
The occurrence began when the agents realized that the woman was outside the platform without having paid the ticket. When approached and oriented to leave the place, she refused to leave, said she would not pay the fare and started to insult one of the agents with racist and homophobic offenses.
According to the reports, the woman used expressions such as “monkey” and “disgusting black” to refer to the employee. The Seop team reported that in the face of aggressiveness and resistance to the approach, the agents had to raise her to lead her to the 32nd Police Station (Taquara).
On the way to the unit, the woman continued to offend the agent with racial curses.
At the police station, the case was registered as racial injury, and the suspect remained arrested.
