Leila Barros wants dialogue space between Samir Xaud to deal with the expectations and plans of the new CBF management
The Senate Sports Commission approved on Wednesday (25.Jun.2025) request to hold a public hearing with the president of (Brazilian Football Confederation) ,. The date of the hearing will still be set by the board.
According to the senator (PDT-DF), author of the request (), the objective is to open a space of dialogue between the leader and the congressmen, in order to deal with the expectations and plans of the new management of the newly deposed CBF.
The senator argued that the meeting of senators with Xaud will allow “Share the guidelines for Brazilian football by 2029” and discuss policies to encourage base football and women’s football.
“The hearing will be an opportunity to discuss topics such as athletes’ training, stadium infrastructure, management transparency and the role of football in social development”said Leila Barros, chairman commission.
She defended the strengthening of cooperation between the legislature and the CBF to improve public policies aimed at the most popular sport in the country.
