Drunk cyclist invades against, collides with a car on the AC-10 and is rescued to the emergency room

A cyclist identified as João Bezerra Assunção, 61, was injured after being involved in a traffic accident on Saturday night (28), at km 20 of the AC-10 highway, known as Porto Acre road.

According to information passed on by the victim’s brother, João spent the day consuming alcohol at the Ca Cai N’Água bar. At dusk, he decided to return home by bicycle. Along the way, he broke into the wrong way and collided with a silver -colored Fiat Palio vehicle, which was driving in the opposite direction.

The impact caused abrasions and injuries to the cyclist’s head. The driver of the car, noticing the altered state of the man, managed to slow down before the collision and avoided more serious consequences. He remained at the scene, assisted the victim and called the medical help.

Despite the severity of the event, teams from the Military Police Traffic Battalion were not called in to meet the occurrence.
