The Israeli army ordered the Palestinians to leave the areas in northern Gaza on Sunday (29) before the intensification of fighting against Hamas.

The determination occurs while US President Donald Trump asks for the end of the war amid new efforts to intermediate a ceasefire.

“Make the agreement in Gaza and recover hostages,” Trump posted on his social Truth platform early Sunday.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu should meet today

A high security employee said the military will tell the prime minister that the campaign is close to reaching their goals and will warn that the expansion of combat to new areas in Gaza can endanger the remaining Israeli hostages.

But in a statement published in the X and in text messages sent to many residents, the military settled in the northern region of the territory to go south toward the Al-Mawasi area in Khan Youis, which Israel designated as a humanitarian area.

Palestinian and UN authorities claim that no place in Gaza is safe.

“Defense forces (from Israel) are operating with extreme strength in these areas, and these military operations will increase, intensify and extend to the west to the city center to destroy the capabilities of terrorist organizations,” the military said.

The order of withdrawal covered the Jabalia area and most districts of the city of Gaza.

Doctors and residents said the Israeli army bombings intensified in the early hours of the morning in Jabalia,

In Khan Younis in the south, five people were killed in an air strike to a camp near Mawasi, doctors said.

At least 12 other people were killed in Israeli military attacks and separate shootings in the territory, raising the death toll on Sunday to at least 23, doctors said.

At Nasser Hospital in Khan Youis, relatives arrived to pay their honors to the bodies wrapped in blank before they were buried.

“A month ago, they (Israel) told us to go to Al-Mawasi (in Khan Youis) and we stayed there for a month. It was a safe area,” said Zeyad Abu Marouf. He said three of his children were killed and a room was injured in the Israeli air strike.

“We ask God and the Arabs to act and end this occupation and the injustice that is happening against us,” Abu Marouf told Reuters.

New efforts to ceasefire

Military climbing occurs when the Arab mediators Egypt and Qatar, supported by the United States, begin a new effort to stop the 20-month conflict and ensure the release of Israel and foreign hostages that are still arrested by Hamas.

The interest in resolving the conflict in Gaza increased after the US and Israel bombing to Iran’s nuclear facilities.

There is also a growing concern with the form

Hundreds of Palestinians were killed last month near areas where food were being distributed, according to local hospitals and authorities.

A Hamas Authority told Reuters that the group informed mediators that it was ready to resume the ceasefire negotiations, but reaffirmed the pending requirements of the group that any agreement should end the war and ensure the removal of Israel from the coastal territory.

Hamas claimed to be willing to release the remaining hostages in Gaza, which are believed to be still alive, only in an agreement that end the war.

Israel states that it can only end the war if Hamas is disarmed and dismantled. Hamas refuses to testify the weapons.

The war began after Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, 2023, killing 1,200 people and hostage, according to Israeli statistics.

The subsequent military attack of Israel killed more than 56,000 Palestinians, according to the Ministry of Health of Gaza, shifted almost the entire population of 2.3 million and plunged the Palestinian territory into a humanitarian crisis.
