It took some time: When Google introduced the first Pixel smartphone almost a decade ago, the promise went hand in hand with its own smartphone business. If the Nexus devices were a mere by-product of Android development, the new Google line should give a new source of income. One for which Google took a lot of time, however, very slowly availability and application of the pixel smartphones were extended.
