The Palestinian Government has estimated in 66 the children who died in the Gaza Strip due to the malnutrition caused by the complicated access of the population of the enclave to the humanitarian aid that is distributed by the controversial humanitarian foundation of Gaza (GHF), the only NGO authorized for this task that began operating on May 19 after a blockade of more than two months imposed by Israel and other basic goods in the strip.
The Palestinian government press office has stressed that this behavior implies a “war crime and a crime against humanity” and has accused Israel of using hunger against the population to “exterminate civilians, especially children”, in a report collected by the Palestinian news agency Sanad.
The NGO in charge of the distribution of help, which has its headquarters in Switzerland, is supported by the United States and Israel and is criticized due to the large number of dead Palestinians in the vicinity of its centers due to attacks by the Israel Defense forces (FDI) while they went to collect food.
