Among the annuals, which are also suitable for the balcony, are so -called bakopa, which is also called basement. The best these flowers are in hanging containers, when they can form long overhanging waterfalls of green flowers, where tiny flowers gradually bloom. Small flowers themselves fall after flowering and the plant is cleaning itself. In our country it is often grown as an annual, but it can also be hibernated. In this case, it is necessary to cut the plant to 20 cm and store it on a bright, cold habitat with an ideal temperature of about 10 degrees. It comes from South Africa. It blooms white or pink and will be nice to you from June to September. Like all balconies, she loves sunny habitats, but also tolerates a penumbra. Requires a permeable substrate. It will benefit well with regular watering. However, it can also handle a period of drought, so it is one of the undemanding annuals.
You will also be pleased by Gazania. They are plants that resemble brightly colored daisies or gerbers. They are sessile plants growing from clumps that love the sun and well -permeable soil. They can handle even a shorter time of drought and it is a plant rather unpretentious. You can choose from all sorts of colors. The colors are very distinctive and colorful and will definitely please you. The plants are relatively small and low in growth, but the plant will enjoy you with a number of relatively large flowers on short stems.
If you are looking for a plant that is one of the succulents and is therefore extremely undemanding and manages a really large hearth and relatively long periods of drought, you can also reach for portulation. Portulaka, Portulák or Šrucha, is a seemingly ordinary sédum, or a fatty plant, which very quickly spices and grows into long overhanging tendons, which then decorate significantly colored tiny flowers. Beautiful are full -flowered scratches, which are more pronounced with flower and color. The plant needs the sun, permeable soil and occasional mild watering. You do not have to remove blooming flowers and not fertilization.
How to arrange for balconies to bloom?
What is the secret of the balconies? All of them unconditionally require enough sun. Even if the plants are more or less demanding, if you guarantee them a quality substrate and fertilize them once or twice a month, they will definitely bloom beautifully and will enjoy the whole season. Nitrogen fertilizers promote growth of greenery, which is recommended at the beginning of the season in front of the flower. For balconies, fertilizers are more richer in potassium that promote flowering.
Some plants prefer to eliminate flowers and peeing, which promotes the baskets and better the flow of flowers. But it’s not a rule. It depends on a particular species.
Growing these favorite and often durable annuals can be thwarted by pests and diseases. Therefore, check the plants and prevent spraying.
