Note a change in the leaves can be the first opportunity to intervene in the right way. Curious to understand what happens to your roses? Here is a practical guide to identify the causes and remedy it.

Roses with ruined leaves: the most insidious fungal diseases

One of the most popular problems is linked to fungal diseases that affect leaves, branches and sometimes even buds. They are easy to recognize if the details are observed well. The ticchiolature causes dark spots, almost black, bordered with yellow. Over time, the leaf falls. Rust can be seen for the appearance of small orange points in the lower part of the leaves. With the advance, the leaves deform and fall. The Oidio (or white sore) is presented with a whitish and pharynous patina that covers the young leaves, making them crop.

These pathologies are manifested above all when humidity is high and the air not very circulating. An too many evening watering can be enough or a missed pruning to favor its onset. To prevent them, it is better to avoid stagnation of water, always guarantee good ventilation between the branches and intervene with antifungal products, preferably natural. Garlic infusions, horsetail decoctions or baking soda preparations can be good allies.

Invisible but very active parasites: aphids and mites

Diseases are not the only pitfall. Parasites also do their part in compromising the health of roses. Sometimes they do not see immediately, but leave very precise signs: curled, discolored or sticky leaves, stunted growth, deformed buds. And if you observe well, you can see small insects intent on sucking the sap.

Here are the main enemies to keep an eye on:
