According to delegate Ricardo Moraes, the teenager had lived with his grandparents since he was seven years old. He broke into a chest where a 357 caliber revolver was stored in the name of an uncle, took the gun and went to the room where his grandfather rested.
The boy threw the back of the elderly and then fired five shots at his grandmother, hitting the victim’s chest and arms, who died at the scene.
“The teenager would have been very angry with a decision of his grandparents to make his cell phone, given that, as indicated, he would be accessing improper pages for his age,” explained the delegate.
Even wounded, his grandfather managed to react and went into a body fight with his grandson, taking the gun. The elderly was rescued and sent to the stable hospital. The teenager fled to a forest area and was located hours later, around 6:45 pm, hidden on the sidelines of a cornfield.
According to PCPR, he will be responsible for infringing acts analogous to qualified homicide (against his grandmother) and attempted murder (against his grandfather). The investigation is still in progress and the case has already been referred to the Public Prosecution Service and the Judiciary.
The minor was sent to the 19th Police Subdivision of Francisco Beltrão, where he was formally seized.
