Alert issued by the State Civil Defense Vale to Rios Uruguay, Taquari and Caí and continues until Monday (30.jun)
It issued 3 red alerts on Sunday (29.jun.2025) by very high risk of flooding in the rivers, and.
The warnings cover excerpts from the rivers located between gaucho municipalities from:
- Uruguay River: between Iraí and Barra do Guarita;
- Taquari River: between Encantado and Taquari; and
- Rio Caí: between São Sebastião do Caí and Montenegro.
The excerpts will be under the warnings by Monday (30.jun), with levels of rivers reaching or exceeding flood quotas.
The agency also reported that it began the reinforced monitoring in the regions of the valleys, Northwest, Serra and Greater Porto Alegre.
In Caxias do Sul, the Civil Defense recorded a moderate risk of landslides and determined evacuations in areas of slope.
