The governor of São Paulo, (Republicans), defended () this Sunday (29), in an act on Paulista Avenue, and promoted a series of criticism of the Lula Government (PT), in an electoral speech.

“We are here to ask for justice, to ask amnesty, to ask for pacification,” said the governor, who had not even spoken out about the requests of Bolsonarist allies to grant a pardon to the former president, his political godfather.

The former president’s eldest son, the senator (PL-RJ) put the pardon as one in 2026. This month, in an interview with Sheethe stated that the candidate must fight with the Supreme Court for this, if necessary, including “the use of force.”

Unlike other participants, Tarcisio did not directly refer to ministers of the Supreme Court (STF), although he repeated criticism of the fact that Bolsonaro was ineligible.

The governor has repeated that he has never heard his political godfather defend undemocratic acts, although, as Bolsonaro infrastructure minister, in which the former president attacked the electronic ballot boxes and also minimized verbal aggressions of the former president to STF Minister Alexandre de Moraes.

This Sunday, other speeches made on the stage directly attacked STF ministers. Senator Magno Malta (PL-ES) called Minister Carmen Lucia Tyrana, while Pastor Silas Malafaia, organizer of the act, said Moraes is “dictator of Toga.”

After participating in the act that had as one of the main targets the Supreme Court, the governor of São Paulo will, in the coming days, Lisbon participate in an event promoted by Minister Gilmar Mendes. Known as “Gilmarpalooza”, the Lisbon Forum will bring together ministers of the Supreme and dozens of authorities, such as Lula assistants, as well as entrepreneurs.

SPEECH

Tarcisio’s speech lasted a few minutes, but included a series of attacks on the Lula administration, something the governor does not have the habit of doing so directly. In his speech, he criticized losses at the post office, spoke of corruption in management and asked: “Outside, PT.”

Tarcisio also tried to pull the public of the public. “Brazil can no longer stand the disadvantage, unbridled expense, corruption. Brazil can no longer stand the spending government. Who pays this account of high interest rates are you. Brazil can no longer stand tax increase, can no longer stand the PT,” he said.

“That’s why we can’t take the PT anymore. Outside PT. Let’s give this answer next year,” he added.

He also said the country “has a great leader,” referring to Bolsonaro himself and indicating that he will be a candidate next year. Tarcisio promoted a series of praise for the political godfather and said that he “has made a transformation in Brazil, remedied the state -owned companies, did not accept political agreements and completed stopped works.” Still called him “honest”.

Considered by center-right party leaders as the most capable of competing against Lula (PT) in 2026, Tarcisio denies any pretense of running for presidency next year, even with Bolsonaro ineligible by 2030. SheetHe has expanded in recent days, in a movement similar to that of other governors who tried to reelection.

Tarcisio’s allies interpret the gesture as part of a strategy to reinforce his loyalty to Bolsonaro and remain a possibility of a name to be supported by 2026. The former president is staying at the Bandeirantes Palace, at the governor’s invitation, as he usually does when he travels to.

In addition to Tarcisio, three other governors participate in this Sunday’s act: (Novo-MG), Claudio Castro (PL-RJ) and Jorginho Mello (PL-SC). Zema has already expressed interest in running for president next year, although Tarcisio is seen as a favorite to the post.

Tarcisio even receives greater prominence from the organizers’ event organizers compared to other governors. In the act held in April, also on Paulista Avenue, in defense of the defendants of January 8, 2023, Bolsonaro’s political godson, among seven governors, to speak. The same was repeated on Sunday, with Tarcisio saying it is “an honor to speak on behalf of the governors.”
