The body of Juliana Marins, who died during a trail in Indonesia, will be transported to Dubai on Tuesday and the next day to Rio de Janeiro. The information was confirmed by the Emirates airline early Monday afternoon. The company alleged operational restrictions to justify the delay in transfer.
“Emirates confirms that the body of Juliana Marins, a Brazilian citizen who died in Indonesia, will be transported to Dubai on July 1 and, later, to Rio de Janeiro on July 2. The airline prioritized the coordination with relevant authorities and other parties involved in Indonesia to facilitate transportation, however, operational restrictions made previous preparations,” the note says.
On Sunday, the family had lamented the difficulties in the body repatriation process. Mariana Marins used social networks to charge Emirates for the delay in transfer. According to Juliana’s sister, the remains were not boarded under the allegation of overcrowding in the luggage compartment.
