Allies of () began to look culprits with each other, accentuating existing cracks in Bolsonarism after this Sunday’s demonstration (29), on Paulista Avenue, attracting one to the acts promoted by the group.
Second, CEBRAP’s political debate monitor, this Sunday’s public was 12,400 people. In April this year, in another scholarship act, 44.9 thousand protesters were counted. Already in February last year, in the same Paulista, the monitor estimated that the demonstration in defense of Bolsonaro.
While part of the former president’s surroundings pointed out the lack of loyalty of allies who missed the act, other nearby figures criticized the organization of the demonstration, which would have been made to ward off center-right politicians who orbit the pockets.
Assistants linked to the Bolsonaro clan emphasized criticism of the absence of names such as those of the presidents of, and União Brasil, Antonio Rueda-who joined in a party federation-, the federal deputy (PL-MG) and the former first lady.
Until Saturday night, the organizers were sure that Michelle and Nikolas would not only participate in the act but they would speak alongside Bolsonaro.
In addition, the group saw opportunism in criticism made by (Republicans) to the Lula administration. The governor of, quoted as a possible presidential candidate, but who denies interest, in his speech and spared the criticism.
For the group, the speech did not help, for example, the defense of the release of prisoners such as General Walter Braga Netto, detained since December on charges of trying to disturb the investigations into the coup plot that, according to the report of the PGR (Attorney General of the Republic), Bolsonaro would have led.
Without citing names, the licensed federal deputy (PL-SP), the former president’s son, released a video on social networks commenting on the demonstrations and asking for attention to details such as “who attended, who did not attend, how were the speeches, who makes the clash”.
In self -exile in the United States since March, he is quoted as a possible successor of his father in a presidential dispute in 2026.
“This is a great opportunity for you to learn, because there was a stage there, not only for a scream of freedom, but also an event that is nonetheless political. So it is for you to follow politics closely, because those who do not hear ‘care’, then hear ‘poor’,” said Eduardo.
Bolsonaro’s son and wife wage a family dispute for the former president’s nomination to succeed him at the polls, as he is ineligible by decision of the TSE (Superior Electoral Court). While the deputy is abroad, the former first lady justified the absence saying that she had a PL woman event in Roraima.
Organizers of the act of Sunday claimed, privately, they were surprised by Michelle’s trip and said the meeting in Roraima was not even released on social networks. In addition, there was another PL woman event in Boa Vista, Roraimense capital, on June 1st. In a statement published on the PL Mulher’s own website, it was reported that the next states to be visited by Michelle would be Tocantins and Piauí – a reference to a return to Roraima in the same month.
The report sent messages to Nogueira and Rueda, but none of them answered. Nor was it able to contact Michelle.
Through his advice, Nikolas Ferreira stated that he did not go to the demonstration because he attended a marriage of his family.
“I was a sponsors of a cousin, who lived with me my childhood all. Marriage scheduled for months. I did not miss any other manifestation. And with blunt speeches,” he said.
CALLED
This Sunday’s act was the first demonstration called by the former president after he was heard by the STF minister in the coup plot survey.
In the testimony, on the 10th, Bolsonaro against the minister, who is a constant target of criticism from his political group, and even called the camped supporters in front of the army barracks at the end of his mandate, “crazy”.
For two of those present in the act heard by SheetBolsonaro’s conduct against Moraes may have contributed to remove part of the public, as supporters expected a more reactive stance from the former president, as well as a defense of those who went to the gates of the barracks inflated by him after the defeat in the elections.
Bolsonaro’s closest allies, however, evaluate that the smaller quorum on Sunday is unrelated to the episode and would not indicate a decrease in its popularity.
For this group, in addition to the absence of political allies, the low public is related to a disclosure that would have been poorly made on social networks.
They criticize supporters with many followers who would not have talked about, although the pastor, organizing the act, has more than 4 million Instagram followers and has published calls on networks in advance.
A PL member stated that political exponents who could have attended the act, and who were present in previous demonstrations, have not found meaning to moving to Paulista to stay away from Bolsonaro-then they cannot produce content with the former president in their networks. Access to the electric trio where the former president is controlled by Malafaia, who was also criticized.
