MDB-DF deputy claims to take care of mental health; subtitle opened an ethical process that can result in expulsion
The district deputy (MDB-DF) requested removal from the mandate in the Legislative Chamber of the Federal District (CLDF) for a period of 60 days, alleging motives of mental health. The request was filed on Monday (30), a few days after the parliamentarian was involved in a confusion with the being caught driving suspiciously in the region of Riacho Fundo I, no. According to a statement issued by the parliamentarian’s advisory, the removal is temporary but necessary. “The parliamentarian recognizes that the emotional pressure of recent months has become unsustainable, demanding immediate attention. Taking care of health is a fundamental step-not only for their personal well-being, but also to keep serving with the population of the DF,” the statement says.
PM approach and refusal to breathalyzer
Last week Donizet was approached by military police after performing maneuvers considered “abnormal” with the vehicle. The agents reported suspicion of drunkenness behind the wheel, but the deputy refused to take the breathalyzer test. According to the Brazilian traffic legislation, the refusal to the test constitutes very serious infraction, with penalties that include fine and suspension of the driver’s license for 12 months. Despite the episode, Donizet says he does not respond to any judicial proceedings at the moment.
Disciplinary Process in the Party
Also on Monday, MDB-DF announced the opening of an ethical-disciplinary process against the parliamentarian. The decision was unanimously taken by the State Executive Commission, from a request from the Governor of the Federal District, Ibaneis Rocha, also affiliated with the party. The caption will analyze Donizet’s conduct, and, at the end of the process, the deputy may suffer internal sanctions, including the expulsion of the acronym. Prior to the medical license request, district deputies had begun to articulate a 90 -day suspension request, which signals increasing political wear around the parliamentarian. The 60 -day license temporarily prevents the advancement of this initiative, but Donizet’s future at CLDF and MDB remains undefined.
