Two passengers, who claim to be a father and his daughter, were rescued by the crew after they entered the water aboard the Disney Dream cruise ship when it returned from a trip through the Bahamas.
Disney confirmed that the rescue occurred on June 29, saying that both returned to the ship a few minutes after they entered the water.
Publications on clients’ social networks on board report that it was a father and his youngest daughter. The father will have jumped to save his daughter after falling from the ship. It is not known for sure how it eventually fell into the sea.
“The crew aboard Disney Dream quickly rescued two water guests,” Disney confirmed in a statement to CNN.
“We praise our crew members for their exceptional competences and rapid actions, which ensured the safe return of both guests to the ship within minutes. We are committed to the safety and welfare of our guests and this incident enhances the effectiveness of our security protocols.”
The ship was returning to Fort Lauderdale in Florida after a four -night cruise in the Bahamas, Newsweek said, citing Disney employees.

Passengers went to social networks to share their boat rescue videos.
“We heard a MOB call (man overwhelming) on the ship’s top. A girl had fallen into the water and her father then jumped to save her,” Janice Martin-Assuque said on Facebook. “Thank God the two are fine.”
Incidents with passengers falling into the sea are relatively rare on cruise ships. Rescue and survival stories can be even more extraordinary.
In 2022, James Michael Grimes, 28, fell into the sea of a Carnival cruise ship in the Gulf of Mexico. He swam for more than 15 hours, according to herself, before being rescued by the Coast Guard.
In 2015, a former Miami Dolphins player Rob Konrad said he had nothing 15 kilometers to reach Earth after falling from his boat near the southern coast of Florida.
