Minister Esther Dweck (Management and Innovation) says that the agency should extend breastfeeding guidelines adopted in the 1st CNU for the entire public service
Management and Innovation Minister Esther Dweck said on Monday (30.Jun.2025) that the president’s government (PT) studies editing a normative instruction to standardize rules aimed at pregnant women and lactating women in public tenders.
The measure should extend the rule that will already be applied in the (Unified National Public Competition) 2025. The standard must be what was implemented in the formation phase of the 1st Enem of the contests: Breastfeeding, Extra Time Time and Structure with Suitable Rooms for mothers and babies.
“We are thinking of doing a more general normative instruction to apply the same thing we did in this current one”said Dweck. She spoke in an interview with journalists to release the official contest schedule.
According to the guideline used at CNU, candidates with children up to 6 months can, every 2 hours, go out for up to 30 minutes to breastfeed. The weather is offset with 60 minutes extra at the end of the race.
During the intervals, the use of cell phones or electronic devices is not allowed. The child should be in a separate room, accompanied by a guardian indicated by the candidate.
The adaptations should be repeated in the 2nd edition of the CNU Training Course, according to the president of (National School of Public Administration), Betânia Lemos.
“All of this was a preparation that Enap did to make the contest truly inclusive. This will also happen in the 2nd Training Course, and the Ministry is thinking of making this public policy for all contests”He said.
Dweck stated that the measure was born from the mobilization of employees and candidates. “It was the result of the movement of women, a very fair demand”He said.
The expectation of the agency is that the new normative instruction will be published in the coming months, with guidelines also applicable to selections organized outside the scope of the CNU.
