A man identified as Jorge Almeida da Silva, 32, was injured with knife blows on the night of Monday (30), near the Maternity Channel, in downtown Rio Branco.
According to witness reports, Jorge spent the day consuming drugs, ingesting alcohol and causing inconvenience to traders in the region. At night, while using narcotics at the scene, he was approached by individuals who assaulted him and stabbed him in the ear, eye and neck.

Despite the injuries, the victim was able to walk to the Benjamin Constant boardwalk, next to the urban terminal, where he asked for help. Popular triggered the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu), which sent an advanced support team. After first aid, Jorge was sent to the Rio Branco Emergency Room. His health was considered stable.

Military police were on site to collect information and perform the usual procedures. The authorship and motivation of the crime are still unknown.
