Slovak Post is on the verge of collapse, does not have a vision or future. Criticized on Tuesday the functioning of the organization Expert for the transport of opposition progressive Slovakia (PS) Martin Pekár. According to him, Slovakia needs a network of modern, large -capacity postal centers that will have enough staff, technology and infrastructure.
“It is unacceptable that the main logistics center of the post office in Bratislava still operates in a building from the 1970s, where shipments are sorted upstairs – this is a logistic absurdist in the world,” said the baker. “Instead of finally building the Direction government, a modern center that Bratislava as a key node of the postal network needs, Minister Ráž wants to sell it. This is the failure of the management of the public services of the coarsest grain, ”added Pekár.
According to the PS traffic expert, the post office is missing a concept. “Slovakia needs a network of modern, large -capacity postal centers that will have enough staff, technology and infrastructure. We have introduced that solution seven years ago – but the government ignored it,” stressed the baker.
He added that modern postal client centers could bring better service of citizens and entrepreneurs, better logistics connection, shorter waiting times, comfortable services or extended opening hours. “It would also make sense a new strategy for their placement according to real needs of the regions, not according to outdated and inefficient models,” said the baker.
The opposition PS called on the government to proceed to the comprehensive reform of the Slovak Post. “Modernization, digitization and conceptual renewal of infrastructure are the only way to save the national postal operator and to return it to citizens and business confidence,” stated PS.
