Sabesp presented on Monday (30) an action plan to redirect the sewage that was being launched on the Tietê River, at the time of the Atílio Fontana Bridge, in São Paulo.
The measure occurs after the São Paulo State Environmental Company (Cetesb) notify the company on Friday (27), requiring alternatives for the launch of sewage on site.
During a meeting with representatives of the Secretariat of Environment, Infrastructure and Logistics (semil), Cetesb, Arsesp and Sabesp itself, it was defined that, within 45 days, the company must perform structural interventions to reinforce damaged pipe sewage to other structures.
Cetesb will conduct a specific analysis to evaluate the impact of emergency maneuver on the tietê pollution stain. The action plan will be monitored by field surveys and periodic meetings with the participation of Cetesb, Arsesp and Urae-1.
Last week, Sabesp said the emergency sewage launch maneuver was performed to enable the network to empty on the marginal’s stretch and the access of the teams to the site of the crater.
